Glenn Kunsman, DO, MSIS

Dr. Glenn Kunsman trained in Emergency Medicine, earned board certification, and worked in emergency settings across the United States before founding Medico Physicians — an SSA-contracted Consultative Examination provider that has served the Social Security Administration since 2010. Across more than 15 years of CE practice, Medico Physicians has reviewed records packets and performed examinations for thousands of disability claimants — work that gave Dr. Kunsman a direct view of why so many legitimately disabled applicants are denied: not on the merits of their condition, but on gaps in how their records were documented.

Dr. Kunsman is uniquely positioned to solve that problem because his career sits at the intersection of medicine and software engineering. Before medical school he spent several years as a software analyst and engineer — building enterprise web applications, designing data-warehouse architecture, and writing the kind of stored procedures and middleware that make large-scale data systems actually run. That work continued in parallel with his medical career: he holds a Master of Science in Healthcare Information Systems and has personally architected the EMR, billing engine, and SSA-EDI submission stack that Medico Physicians runs on today.

Medico Disability Services is the natural extension of that combined background. It is an AI-assisted documentation review tool — built on the same kind of medical-records pipeline that powers modern clinical software, but trained specifically to read claimant records the way an SSA adjudicator reads them. Dr. Kunsman designed Medico AI from the ground up to do one thing: compare submitted records to the SSA Blue Book and private-policy criteria, and produce a plain-English gap analysis that shows claimants and their advocates exactly what their documentation says — and where it falls short of what the criteria require.
